Well HELLO THERE!

I’m John Livingston, a creative director in the lovely city of Austin, TX. Yes, I have heard the phrase “Dr. Livingston, I presume” and no, I’ve never read the book Jonathan Livingston Seagull (although I probably should). 

I’m a creative thinker & maker who loves to solve problems and produce great work. I’ve been called a creative director, art director, or designer, but regardless of the title I love working to build beautiful things that make an impact. Whether that’s telling brand stories through video, launching an ad campaign for a new product, creating a design system to revamp a companies’ online presence, or just designing a logo, I enjoy it all. And I love collaborating with talented people in the process who teach me new things every day. Over the years, my work has been recognized by the ADDYs, OMMAs, W3 Awards, DSVC and the Graphis New Talent Annual.

As an increasingly rare native Austinite, I love design, advertising, typography, ping pong, a good podcast, my family, dogs. camping, scuba diving, and a great bowl of queso. Not necessarily in that order (queso might be #1).
